Comrade Barack Obama - Marxist

I knew it back in February. Barack Obama is a COMMIE. And, yeah, that is an epithet -- a dirty word -- a contemptuous slur, even. One can not be loyal to America and be a Marxist. Last winter I made that claim based on the people Obama chose to associate with and the causes he chose to support.

It is this last that has just exploded upon the Blogosphere with confirmation that not only was Barack Obama endorsed by a Socialist Party, he was a MEMBER of the Marxist New Party and ran for office as such when he was a candidate and won a seat in the Illinois Senate. Web archives were discovered and announced by Politically Drunk yesterday that reveal Obama's membership in the New Party.

IrishSpy provides a succinct summary of what Politically Drunk found:

Obama was endorsed for his Illinois State Senate run in 1996 (the same campaign that was kicked off from former-yet-proud terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn's home, bear in mind) by the New Party. Fair enough: Obama ran as a Democrat, and an endorsement by an organization doesn't mean one belongs to it.

  • Except a New Party 1996 update lists Barack Obama as a party member.
  • Except an article in Progressive Populist from November, 1996, lists him as a party member.
  • Except an article in the Democratic Socialist Party of America's newsletter lists him as a party supporter.

And no evidence has ever come forth that Obama ever denied he was party member or declined membership.

America has got to wake up and realize the truth about the person she is about to place in the White House. We defeated the Soviets... But they are about to have an ally in the person of our President. Talk about a Manchurian Candidate!

Thomas Lifson at American Thinker, blogging on these archives, writes about Obama's relationship with the New Party and how his career was propelled forward by it:

Another piece in the puzzle of Barack Obama has been revealed, greatly strengthening the picture of a man groomed by an older generation of radical leftists for insertion into the American political process, trading on good looks, brains, educational pedigree, and the desire of the vast majority of the voting public to right the historical racial wrongs of the land.

The New Party was a radical left organization, established in 1992, to amalgamate far left groups and push the United States into socialism by forcing the Democratic Party to the left. It was an attempt to regroup the forces on the left in a new strategy to take power, burrowing from within. The party only lasted until 1998, when its strategy of "fusion" failed to withstand a Supreme Court ruling. But dissolving the party didn't stop the membership, including Barack Obama, from continuing to move the Democrats leftward with spectacular success.

Lifson quotes Eric Erickson to explain the concept of "fusion" as used by the New Party:
Fusion is a pretty simple concept. A candidate could run as both a Democrat and a New Party member to signal the candidate was, in fact, a left-leaning candidate, or at least not a center-left DLC type candidate. If the candidate -- let’s call him Barack Obama -- received only 500 votes in the Democratic Party against another candidate who received 1000 votes, Obama would clearly not be the nominee. But, if Obama also received 600 votes from the New Party, Obama’s New Party votes and Democratic votes would be fused. He would be the Democratic nominee with 1100 votes.

The fusion idea set off a number of third parties, but the New Party was probably the most successful. A March 22, 1998 In These Times article by John Nichols showed just how successful. “After six years, the party has built what is arguably the most sophisticated left-leaning political operation the country has seen since the decline of the Farmer-Labor, Progressive and Non-Partisan League groupings of the early part of the century …. In 1996, it helped Chicago’s Danny Davis, a New Party member, win a Democratic congressional primary, thereby assuring his election in the majority-black district …. The threat of losing New Party support, or of the New Party running its own candidates against conservative Democrats, would begin a process of forcing the political process to the left, [Joel] Rogers argued.”

Fusion, fortunately for the country, died in 1997. William Rehnquist, writing for a 6-3 Supreme Court, found the concept was not a protected constitutional right. It was two years too late to stop Obama.

[UPDATE] This post was featured by InterceptPoint at FreeRepublic. Thanks!
On yesterday's O'Reilly show, Laura Ingraham finally used the M-word to describe Barak Obama. The M-word is MARXIST. Finally, the fact that Obama is a closet Marxist is starting to sink in. The extracted article from Pax Parabellum is an excellent starting point for anyone wanting to understand Obama's Marxist influences and his Marxist roots. If the public really understood this he wouldn't get 40% of the vote. Read the whole Pax Parabellum article. It will be well worth you time.

Good. You can add a couple things at least:

On Alice Palmer, the South Side's Marxist State Senator, Who Hand Picked Barack Obama to Succeed Her

And, The "New Party" tended to be even more Marxist than the Socialist yada yadas.

Note to all: use Marxist or Neocommunist - not Socialist, for accuracy and impact.

Chicago is such a mish-mosh of political groups hiding behind innocuous-sounding names.

The next time you hear the words "independent voter" associated with Illinois, mentally substitute the words "progressive voter."

According to the web pages of the The Independent Voters of Illinois,

The organization's primary tools are voter's registration, voter information and candidate endorsement. We also lobby on behalf of governmental reforms designed to open the system and better inform the public on the political process.

The IVI–IPO is a not-for-profit, multi-partisan, independent political organization. Our endorsements reach hundreds of thousands of voters throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

Their policies page says they are
The only multi-issue, statewide independent political organization in Illinois, IVI-IPO has led the progressive good government movement here for over 50 years.

Through our National Affairs, Legislative Action and Community Action committees, IVI-IPO drafts legislative proposals and lobbies for passage of progressive legislation in Congress, the Illinois General Assembly, the Chicago City Council, and other governmental bodies.

Of course they've endorsed Obama.

Now if only the flawed products of our educational system of the past 40 years understood what a Marxist is. It is an abstract to them — words devoid of any meaning. Telling them Obama is a Marxist is like casting pearls before swine — they utterly do not comprehend or appreciate the value of your warning.

Probably true but I would use the term anyway and throw in Socialist or Radical Socialist for good measure. Do we want the Government running GM, Ford and Chrysler? How about Exxon? There is some language that McCain's team can come up with that will do the trick. They should use Ayer's statements about his hatred of capitalism and challenge Obama on his financial support for Ayer's anti-American, pro-UN, anti-capitalist, anti-freedom, socialist, Marxist programs. He could try something like this:

"It was your money Senator Obama and you gave it to a man who wants to destroy the American way of life. Are you proud of that"? Do you want the American people to know about that? Why don't you tell them about it? Why don't you tell them what you studied at Columbia? And while you are at it why don't you show them your birth certificate. We are all on pins and needles to see it."

The message simply has to get out there and the MSM is not going to carry our water.
