I wasn't going to talk about this, but once again the Obama's have shown such panache in their gift giving that I felt I had to put this mention what they gave the Queen. They gave the Queen of England a musical songbook signed by Richard Rodgers, and an Ipod with an inscription, accessories and uploaded little ditties.

The Queen gave the Obamas her standard gift: a silver-framed signed photo of herself and Prince Philip.
Some people just are clueless to good gift giving. The Obamas need to hire someone who has the gift giving touch and fire that high school boy who must be helping them with their gift giving thus far. There are so many unique areas and peoples in this country why not gift baskets with samples from the different areas of the country. Something that took some thought, not what they can go eBay for or their local electronic store--like Curry's or Amazon.co.uk.
In case some of you think Bush's gifts were probably stupider, think again (ht/Rachel Lucas):
President and Mrs. Bush gave Her Majesty a bronze statuette “High Desert Princess” with a personal inscription on the bottom of the base. It is a replica of the original life size statue that is located in front of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth, Texas.
President and Mrs. Bush gave The Prince Philip an exclusive sterling silver eagle box by Tiffany & Co. with personal inscription on the inside lid.
President and Mrs. Bush gave Their Majesties a leather presentation box filled with a collection of documents from the National Archives. One of the items was a copy of an original letter from President Roosevelt to her father, King George, written in 1938. There were also photos from previous royal visits and a DVD of the footage from the Queen’s visit to the United States when she was Princess Elizabeth in 1951.

The Obama is simply just not as smart as the media propaganda machine would like him to be and is trying to lead us to believe he is. He just makes too many dumb mistakes. His obvious blunders just keep rolling, one after another.
sad really--is Obama clueless, disconnected from the real world, or just doesn't care? It appears he is a narcissist--it's all about him--we are just here to witness his brilliance. Obama makes Bill Clinton seem humble.
